Student Council

Hello and a warm welcome to the website of the Musicology Student Council at Heidelberg University! We’re delighted that you’ve found us. Our role is to represent the interests of all students to staff and lecturers, and to listen to and act on the concerns of the student body.

We are:

• Liaisons between students and staff/lecturers
• Points of contact for students, e.g. for organisational or academic queries

At the start of each semester, we organise a Freshers’ Week featuring a variety of activities:

• Information about the course
• Introduction to teaching staff/staff/lecturers
• Getting to know the new students on a city tour or pub crawl
• Library tour

We also organise:

• A final concert at the end of each semester
• A Christmas party
• A summer party
• MuWi Movie Night, a film evening with an introduction to the film and the music featured in it
   

As well as a very friendly group of fellow students who are passionate about music, the student council offers the opportunity to develop skills in various areas, such as media design, event organisation, practical communication, project implementation, etc. Here, you can also contribute your own ideas, help bring them to life, and champion the interests of your fellow students. We warmly welcome you to our group and look forward to new members, whether you’ve just started your studies or are nearly finished. Everyone is welcome!
