Vita
Esther Dubke studied musicology at the Universities of Münster (BA) and Hamburg (MA) and was awarded her PhD in 2020 from the University of Hamburg with a thesis entitled Orlando di Lasso’s Masses in the Munich Choir Books: A Setting of the Ordinary between Tradition and Reorganisation. This was followed by positions at the HU Berlin, the HfK Bremen and the HfM Weimar as a research associate, lecturer and scholarship holder. Since October 2024, she has been working as a research associate (postdoc) and as a teaching substitute for Christiane Wiesenfeldt at the Ruprecht Karls University of Heidelberg, funded by the spokesperson’s budget of the CRC.
Her research interests focus in particular on questions of music historiography and philology.
